DEANNA PELLECCHIA
In-Home Personal Fitness Coach

The human body is an incredible machine designed to move. It is happiest, healthiest and working most efficiently when doing just that. Happy, healthy bodies make for happy, healthy people.

DeAnna brings her passion and experience as a professional dancer to her work as a personal fitness coach. Her mission as a personal trainer is to cultivate strong, injury-free bodies by offering thoughtful, intelligent workouts. Her goal is for clients to attain long-term health, whole-body awareness and mind-body balance.

DeAnna specializes in in-home personal training and has been successfully helping clients reach their fitness goals for the past ten years. Goals have included losing weight (50 or more pounds), strengthening and shaping the body, bettering balance, increasing coordination, eliminating blood-pressure and cholesterol medication, rehabilitating shoulder and knee injuries, easing back pain, sleeping better and feeling more energized on a daily basis. She has helped women with osteoporosis increase their bone-density. She has worked with Parkinson's patients on slowing the progression of the disease by keeping muscles strong and limber. She has helped soon-to-be moms stay healthy and fit through all three trimesters and new moms reclaim their pre-baby bodies. She has trained men, women and children between the ages of 9 and 83 including athletes, doctors, brides, pre and post-natal moms, business professionals, and couch potatoes. The only way to stick to an exercise program is first, make a lifestyle commitment to health, and second, make that commitment easy to keep by integrating workouts seamlessly into your day. DeAnna comes to you, making exercise easy and convenient. No equipment is necessary.

As a movement expert and ACE-certified Personal Trainer, DeAnna designs workouts that draw from her extensive movement background. DeAnna has studied and competed in the Korean martial art Tae Kwon Do under Master Young Ho Jin, former trainer of the U.S. Olympic Team. She recently returned home to the United States from a month-long tour of India. While performing and teaching there she also continued her study of Kalaripayattu. Kalari, originating in Kerala, India, is regarded as the oldest martial art form in existence and aims to make the practitioner a warrior of extreme flexibility and strength. DeAnna has also studied Capoeira and Wushu, martial art forms originating in Brazil and China, respectively. She incorporates training exercises from these martial art forms into her workouts, helping clients better strength, flexibility, coordination and alignment. Her sessions also integrate exercises from Yoga, Pilates, dance training, cardio-training and weight training. DeAnna’s approach activates both large and SMALL muscle groups working to tone and slim the body. Muscle fibers are lengthened AS they are strengthened, resulting in a sculpted, defined physique. Clients experience significant improvement in flexibility and range of motion as well as increased stability in the body's joints. DeAnna customizes workouts to meet the specific needs of each client. She greatly enjoys helping people discover the true strength and capability of their bodies.
